Man’s Foot Crushed in Plant Accident

In Sheboygan Falls, a man was involved in an accident at the Johnsonville Sausage plant. Around 3pm Monday, the man's steel toe shoe got caught under a pallet loader.

The machine caused severe crushing injuries to the man's foot and he had to be transported to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

OWI Crash Injures 2

On Sunday afternoon, a crash occurred in the Town of Sheboygan Falls when a drunk driver lost control of his vehicle. Around 3:15pm, the driver went off Highway M at Sumac Rd, becoming airborne and went down an embankment.

The driver and the passenger were both injured in the crash. The passenger sustained serious but non life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. The driver refused treatment and was cited for OWI.

Semi Rollover in Kewaunee Injures Driver

A semi truck rolled over Tuesday morning in Kewaunee when it rear ended another vehicle. Both were traveling northbound along Wisconsin 42 at the time of the crash.

When the truck rolled, the driver became trapped and had to be extricated before he was air lifted to a hospital in Green Bay. The other driver was not injured.

Motor Home Crash Kills 2, Injures 4

An accident occurred Saturday in Verona involving a motor home and an SUV. The motor home crossed the center line near County G and struck an SUV head on.

The two people in the front of the SUV were immediately killed. Two passengers in the back were injured. The driver of the motor home and a passenger were also injured.

Rollover Kills Driver

A rollover crash occurred in Manitowok County, causing one man's death. The crash occurred near Wisconsin 67 along Manitowok county Highway X in the Town of Schleswig.

The driver of the vehicle was ejected after losing control, hitting an embankment and rolling over back into the road. He landed in a nearby ditch and was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Bald Tire Causes Motorcycle Crash

On Sunday evening, a crash occurred in the Town of Scott. The man was traveling southbound along county Highway S when his bald tire failed to grip a patch of gravel in the road.

The man was ejected from his motorcycle. The injuries he sustained were life threatening and he was taken to St Joseph's Hospital in West Bend. No one else was injured.

Rollover Injures 1

A rollover crash occurred in Ashwaubenon on Friday morning. An SUV and a semi were involved in the collision. The SUV, attempting to change lanes, hit the semi and went off the road, rolling over.

The driver in the SUV was injured, but the extent of injury was not reported. The driver of the semi sustained no injuries and the truck itself received only minor damage.

Man Injured in Cheese Factory Accident

This morning, a factory worker at the Great Lakes Cheese factory was involved in an accident. Around 8am, the man was backing a forklift after having loaded cheese from a high point. The forklift tipped forward after it cleared the racks.

The man was trapped in the forklift cage, but was freed before emergency response arrived. He was taken to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

Residents Evacuated for Gas Leak

Around 8:15 this morning, a contractor working on a sewer line cut a gas pipe. Between 9:15am and 12:30pm, 30 nearby residents had to be evacuated from their homes because of the leak.

The amount of gas that leaked into the sewer was at "explosive levels" and was threatening to enter homes. Fortunately, by 1pm the gas had been abated without injuries and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
