No Injuries in Dumpster Fire

Early Monday morning, a dumpster fire at a residence spread, causing about $5,000 in damage. Around 5am, the dumpster fire spread to an adjacent garage, damaging a neighboring house.

The Sheboygan Fire Department responded and was able to extinguish the fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the fire. The cause of the intial fire is under investigation.

Crash Injures 2

Tuesday morning, a crash occurred involving a van and a car. Around 7:25am, the car was eastbound along Los Angeles Ave when it pulled away from a yield sign at 11th St into the path of a northbound van.

The car struck the van, popping two of its tires off. A 10 year old girl who was a passenger in the car was injured. She was treated and released at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. The driver of the van was taken to St Nicholas Hospital for neck pain.

A product used in conjunction with the Nintendo Wii has been voluntarily recalled because it can overheat and cause burns to consumers. The product, sold as both Psyclone Essentials and React, is called the 4-Dock Recharging Station.

According to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, 220,000 units have been recalled after six cases of overheating and two cases of burns to the hand occurred.

Rollover Injures 4

A rollover crash in Lodi occurred Saturday morning involving an SUV. The vehicle was driving along Howard Litscher Memorial Drive when it went through a large puddle and lost control.

When the driver tried to correct the vehicle, it rolled over, coming to rest upright. Four people were in the vehicle at the time and were all injured. However, none of the injuries were life threatening.

Crash Injures 2

On Sunday a crash occurred in the Town of Lyndon involving a minivan and a motorcycle. Around noon, the motorcycle was northbound along Highway 57 when the minivan pulled out from a stop sign on Highway 28 and into the biker's path.

The rider was taken to Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah for treatment of life threatening injuries. The driver of the minivan was taken to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment of non life threatening injuries. Police are investigating the crash.
