A 38 year-old Fountain City nursing home assistant has been faced with charges of intentionally causing bodily harm and felony intentional abuse of a 93 year-old nursing home abuse patient.
The patient at the St.
Michael’s Lutheran Home reportedly told a social worker that the assistant hit her at least three times in the head, leaving a large bruise. The assistant has denied these charges, but agreed to a lowered charge of misdemeanor negligence.
A judge gave her 40 hours of community service, anger management, and counseling for her lowered charge.
