Officers arrest man on 8th DWI offense

Posted on Wednesday, December 28th, 2011 at 7:47 pm

Clark County sheriff’s deputies and a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper were led on a high speed chase for nearly half an hour last week by a 47 year-old Minneapolis man.

The man was intoxicated and refused to stop when police offices tried to pull him over for speeding. Troopers and deputies chased the man through rural Wisconsin as the driver reached speeds of 110 mph. Spikes had to be laid down in order for officers to stop the man.

He was eventually arrested and charged with this eighth driving while intoxicated charge as well as speeding, fleeing from police, and driving with a revoked license.
