A 33 year-old Orlando man was injured Sunday morning when debris from the Amway Arena hit him. The former home of the Orlando Magic was imploded over the weekend as operations moved to the new Amway Center.

Hundreds of people woke up early to see the building demolished. According to the police report, the bystander was about two blocks away from the old arena when an eight-inch piece of reinforcing bar hit his leg.

The man was transported by ambulance to the hospital. His wife says he suffered a broken fibula and had surgery earlier this week. All medical expenses have been paid for by Dykon Explosive Demolition Corp.
