Missing allergy warning leads to recall

Posted under food allergy attorneys

A missing allergy warning on Ben & Jerry’s pint-sized chocolate nougat crunch flavor ice cream has lead the company to issue a recall. The packaging does not mention the product was made with equipment that handles peanuts and tree nuts.

No allergic reactions have been reported, but people with severe nut allergies could be at risk for potentially serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume the product.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled ice cream should throw it away, cut out the UPC code on the container, and call Ben & Jerry’s to receive a free replacement coupon.

If you have had an allergic reaction due to an improperly labeled food product, contact the food allergy lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier, S.C. by calling 800-242-2874.
