Wisconsin Doctor Forfeits License

by Administrator 27. July 2010 02:58

According to News Line 9 (WOAW), "A former Marshfield doctor accused of illegally touching sedated patients surrenders his license to practice medicine." This surrender allows him to escape legal action by the Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing. The Wisconsin Medical Board declared Dr. Kevin Lang guilty of sexual contact with a patient. He also volunteered that he had additional inappropriate contact with patients before this incident. Lang was a practicing gastroenterologist.

Lang is being sued by former patients for malpractice. The county is also prosecuting him for felony sexual assault. WEAU reports, "Kevin Lang is facing five counts of second degree sexual assault of an intoxicated victim."

Lang can apply for a license in the future, but the board has to authorize it. They can place any restrictions or limitations on a license, if he decides to reapply.

Sheboygan Falls Toyota accident caused by driver error

by Administrator 22. April 2010 01:46

A Toyota Camry accident last month was likely caused by driver error. According to a Sheboygan Falle police report, police believe driver error caused the car to crash into a wall.

While the driver claimed that the car sped up on its own, police used surveillance video and other evidence to prove that the accident was the driver's fault. As a result of the accident, the driver suffered a broken sternum.

The risks of driving on frozen lakes

by Administrator 26. January 2010 05:28

When lakes freeze in the winter, many people will use the lakes for skating and ice fishing. While some worry that the ice will crack, others are sure that the ice is strong and thick enough.

For this reason, many people falsely believe that ice on lakes and ponds are strong enough to support autmobiles and other vehicles. This type of thinking, however, is what leads to some of the most devastating winter accidents. To prevent such accidents, individuals should exercise extra caution around frozen lakes and ponds.

If you or anyone you know has been injured as a result of an ice-related accident, contact the Sheboygan personal injury lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

What is umbrella insurance coverage?

by Administrator 11. January 2010 05:48

Umbrella insurance is a type of liability insurance policy protection above the standard limits set on other policies. It is typically used to increase the liability limits of a number of policies by a certain amount.

For instance, if an insurance policy holder has both auto and home insurance and gets a one million dollar umbrella, then the limits of both the auto and home insurance will be increased by one million dollars.
