Sheboygan Boating Accident Emergency Response Under Investigation

by Administrator 30. June 2010 03:15

WHBL reports that, "The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department is continuing its investigation of how the fatal boating accident in Lake Michigan was handled on Friday after some confusion resulted in a delay in finding the overturned craft."

When the call was received there was some concern as to whose jurisdiction it fell under causing a short delay in emergency response.

CBS 5 reported that a 20-foot boat capsized in Lake Michigan. The three passengers were able to be removed from the water by the Coast Guard, but one was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. He had reportedly suffered from a stress-induced heart attack. The other two passengers declined medical attention.

How long does it take for a motorist to be involved in four separate crashes? For one man, it only took seven minutes.

According to police reports, Kiriko Massai took a right onto Highway OO and hit a guardrail. After hitting the guardrail, he rear-ended two vehicles in two separate lanes. And after hitting the two cars, he crashed into a traffic standard and then continued down the highway.

No one was injured in any of the accidents. If you have been injured in a car accident, contact the Sheboygan personal injury lawyers at 800-242-2874.

Mother who left 5-year-old home alone charged with negligence

by Administrator 14. September 2009 05:33

A Sheboygan left her 5-year-old son home alone August 7 and was charged with one count of misdemeanor child neglect Monday. Amber Johnson alledgedly left her son alone for more than an hour, and after a short time, the young boy wandered over to a neighbor's house, knocked on the door, and told the neighbor he was scared.

For the neglect charges, Johnson could be without her child for six to nine months. She said she deeply regretted her decision and will likely plead guilty to the charges.
