Sheboygan police are still investigating a fire explosion that killed one volunteer firefighter and injured eight others. According to police reports, the accident occurred when the firefighters were putting out a fire and unexplained explosion occurred.

While authorities believe a reaction with metal byproducts caused the explosion, they have not determined what caused the original fire.
