On February 4, 2011, two seperate snowmobile accidents occurred in Bayfield County, Wisconsin, causing a leg injury and one death.
The first accident occurred when a 45 year-old man was riding on a snowmobile with a group of friends when he did not stop for a stop sign and hit an oncoming car. The man died almost instantly due to the collision. The driver was not harmed.
The second accident resulted after a 28 year-old man ran into the back of another snowmobile. The man's leg got caught between the two snowmobiles, and he was airlifted to a hospital.
