A 41-year-old Wisconsin man was captured in Seguin after appearing on America's Most Wanted. The man had been accused of raping a 12-year-old girl and had been running from police for eleven years.
The first episode of America's Most Wanted to feature the man aired in 2009. A citizen who had viewed the episode recently and knew the man, called and informed the police of his whereabouts. The arrest was a joint effort as the Seguin police department worked with Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the fugitive office of Guadalupe County.
The man will be charged with the sexual assault of a child and could face life in prison.
