The owner of an Argentine mastiff that attacked a news anchor on the air has been cited for animal control for the accident. He was issued citations for failing to have the dog on a leash and not having the dog properly vaccinated.
The attack happened last week in Denver. She was interviewing the owner and the firefighter who had saved the dog from an icy lake the day before. It was when she bent down close to the dog that it lunged and bit her on the face.
The animal has been quarantined for ten days as a precaution. The anchor had undergone reconstructive surgery and will make a full recovery.
