A mother has filed a medical negligence lawsuit against a hospital and her doctors after her and her son were injured during delivery. She claims a delayed and botched Caesarean section operation lead to the injuries.
The woman came into the hospital in active labor but was not taken into surgery until more than eight hours later. Due to the delay, her son was born with a skull fracture, a skull deformity, and subdural hemorrhages.
The mother suffered a lacerated bladder that later became infected, leading to a wound separation, pelvic abscess, and bowel obstruction that forced her to use a feeding tube.
