This year’s Wisconsin Film Festival began earlier this week and will run through Sunday at eight Madison-area movie theaters. Presented by the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Arts Institute and Department of Communication Arts, the film festival will present movies from all over the world.
Films such as international documentaries, indie dramas, Oscar-nominated films, local movies by local filmmakers, and restored classics ensure that there will be a movie everyone can enjoy. Tickets for each showing can be purchased at the theater box office an hour before the showtime for $5 with a valid student ID.
While you’re there, don’t forget to check out some of the festival’s special events with renowned filmmakers in attendance. For more information, visit 2012.wifilmfest.org.
