Earlier this week it was announced that Ford has issued a recall on 7,600 of its new 2013 Ford Escape SUVs to fix a coolant leak in the engine. The leaking coolant could cause the engine to overheat and catch on fire.
The automaker received one report of an Escape catching on fire before issuing the recall. The vehicle was being driven at a dealership by an employee. No one was injured, and no costumers have filed complaints.
Ford has issued three recalls in two months on its new Escapes, according to the Washington Post. In July, 10,000 were recalled for a possible brake problem, and 11,500 were recalled for another engine leak.
